Sir,

I wish to draw your kind attention to the inadequacy of the rainwater drainage. In the event of a heavy downpour, low-lying streets are flooded with water which the drains are incapable of carrying away. The water flows down the gutters and accumulates on the roads. This reveals the inadequacy of rain- water sewers are not capable of carrying full volume of water. 

It has been often noticed that the contaminated water falls into the drinking water reservoirs, with the result that it grows into a menace to public health.

It is requested that the Municipal authorities may kindly talk expeditious steps to improve upon the defective drainage system in the larger interests of the public.
